Barcelona beckons for the 2017 Luxury Charter Show

2017 marks the 29th edition and a new chapter in the history of one of the most important events for the global charter industry.

The event was previously held in Genoa for 15 years and prior to that, San Remo. Now in Barcelona, the event caters solely to MYBA Members and YACHTFOLIO Subscribers and is not open to the public.

The LCG team is looking forward to attending this revitalised show, inspecting some of Europe's most sought-after charter vessels, reacquainting ourselves with their unique attributes and renewing ties with their crews and managers.

Our objective, as at every show we attend throughout the year, is to refresh our knowledge from first-hand experience so we can pass this on to clients and match them with their ideal charter yacht experience – from the cuisine onboard to activities, crew specialties and the ambience of the yacht itself.

This year, our anticipation of the MYBA show is especially high given its new location at the highly-awarded, €80 million marina development, OneOcean Port Vell, with its state of the art facilities and infrastructure.

OneOcean Port Vell is a world-class home port for superyachts, perfectly positioned in the heart of Barcelona. Originally built for the 1992 Olympic Games, the marina recently completed its transformation to a 148-berth luxury facility, creating the ultimate destination for yachts up to 190-metres.

Luxury facilities ensure owners, guests, captains and crew have everything they need to enjoy the best in safety, security, comfort and entertainment while benefiting from all the services a city can offer. CLICIA

A superb 41.8m (137'2") Baglietto motor yacht, CLICIA features chic, sophisticated interior styling by the award-winning duo of Bannenberg & Rowell. CLICIA can accommodate up to 11 guests in five ensuite staterooms and boasts plenty of onboard and deck space including a massive foredeck for entertaining or just relaxing and Jacuzzi for cooling off. This impressive charter vessel has a myriad of high-tech entertainment options and new watertoys for guests' pleasure. CLICIA is available for the Cannes Film Festival and Monaco Grand Prix. Captain Marc Van Loon has extensive knowledge of the Mediterranean (including hidden coves and moorings). His team of eight crew are dedicated to delighting guests during their charter.

IDOL

Luxury motor yacht IDOL is a fantastic 58.8m (193' 3") Oceanfast motor yacht with a top speed of 20 knots. She has a spacious, modern interior designed by Christophe Giraudet, luxurious accommodation for up to 12 people, expansive areas on deck for recreation and relaxation and an enormous selection of watersports equipment. Based in St Tropez and available for charter in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, IDOL is under the direction of Captain Eric Pialles, who with 15 expert crew are completely committed to fulfilling guests' every wish.

INDIAN EMPRESS

One of the most spacious and prestigious superyachts available in charter, the 95m (311' 8") Oceanco motor yacht, INDIAN EMPRESS will impress with her size, array of amenities and superlative decor. With accommodation for 12 privileged guests in 17 staterooms, INDIAN EMPRESS boasts an entire deck devoted to the master apartment that includes a private lounge, full-beam bedroom, gym, sauna and steam room. In the banqueting room, 24 guests can be seated around one table for an elegant dinner. On deck, serpentine red sofas are shaded by bright yellow parasols. Entertaining space is second to none, with room for up to 500 guests for a function on the bridge deck.
Under the guidance of Captain Bruno Pasquier and 33 crew, her facilities and complement of watertoys will ensure all guests can enjoy hours of indulgence and fun!

JOY

At 70m (229' 8") JOY is a masterful collaboration of two yachting powerhouses; Bannenberg and Rowell for her exquisite exterior lines and Dutch builder, Feadship. Spanning five decks, her expansive outdoor space is unrivalled and adds to her appeal as a luxury charter yacht. Pockets of air conditioned indoor/outdoor zones known as 'winter gardens' were created so guests can enjoy the harmony between the exterior and interior.
Inside, Studio Indigo was responsible for her vibrant interior that includes an extremely flexible cabin layout sure to sleep 12 guests comfortably. With eight cabins, an elevator servicing three of the five decks plus an array of facilities dedicated to wellness, such as a large gym, spa room and on board masseuse, JOY is in demand in the Med, Caribbean and south-east Asia.

SATORI

35m (114' 10") Sanlorenzo built ZAMOLXIS is a wonderful choice for charter in the Mediterranean, Italian Riviera and Balearic Islands.
With impeccable, stylish interiors by Della Role Design, ZAMOLXIS accommodates up to 10 guests in five staterooms, each with ensuite, as well as expansive deck space, including a large sundeck with bar and plenty of seating for entertaining or simply relaxing in the sun. Onboard, ZAMOLXIS has a major complement of watertoys for hours of on-water fun, including a high-speed tender, Seabob Cayago F7 and various paddleboards, kayaks and towable inflatables.
