Luxury Charter Group Appointed Central Agent For MY AURORA

Named after the Roman Goddess of the Dawn, AURORA is now under the stewardship of new owners, and has undergone a complete refit that has elevated her to unrivalled levels of charter luxury.

Long-time charterers themselves, her new owners have spent many years travelling the globe and chartering aboard the most sumptuous superyachts and gulets in the Mediterranean. 

They purchased AURORA after spotting her at Point Piper Marina with the intention of making upgrades to suit their aesthetic and lifestyle, but that soon developed into something grander. She was stripped back to “bare bones” and has recently been re-launched in remarkable style and impeccable condition. 

Some of Australia’s most esteemed craftspeople and marine trade specialists were commissioned to breathe new life into this sturdy superyacht: Pacific Trim upholstery, Italian linen and Ralph Lauren fabrics from Analu, Antique carpets from Cadreys, adding the finest teak, new swim platform, bar, foredeck dining space, aft deck bimini, new cinema, TVs, sound system and electronics,  watertoys – the works!

Collaborating with architect Iain Halliday of BKH, renowned for fit out, conversions and refurbishments of inner-city icons the new owners took a very hands-on approach to the refit. 

“We’re both fastidious about details. We had the vision of AURORA becoming a wonderful boat for our family and a superb charter vessel. We refitted her for us, but with several weeks set aside each year to share our beautiful boat with others.”

Now back on the water, AURORA is a spectacular sight, ready to ‘wow’ discerning charter guests. From three-night charters on Sydney Harbour and the idyllic waterways of Pittwater and the Hawkesbury River, to longer sojourns in the Whitsundays and islands of the Great Barrier Reef, AURORA invites guests to succumb to her charms and totally immerse themselves in a charter like no other.

“AURORA is exceptional, not just for her appearance and onboard amenities, but also for the carefully curated bespoke experiences on  offer. For example, charters for foodies that really focus on cuisine, and that can include a bush tucker experience, catch and cook your own seafood, a Greek-themed beach party, cocktails with the penguins at Manly Cove, a visit to the Pittwater pearl farm, walks such as Wendy Walkley’s gardens in Lavender Bay or diving among the magnificent coral bomboras in the Whitsundays.

We have a fantastic Captain, a Chief Stewardess from Canada with many years’ experience, an expert Chef and experienced deckhand. They will set the bar high.”

AURORA has four superbly appointed large cabins ideal for up to 8 guests, including a master that comprises of an ensuite, walk-in robe, lounge and desk with make-up table. 

Inside her bespoke opulent interior you will find a collection of textures and materials collected from around the world, while on deck, AURORA has an extraordinary variety of options and ample space for outside use devoted to privacy and leisure. 

For day trips and island hopping, AURORA will be equipped with two tenders: a 4m BRIG tender and a 10m BRIG chase boat fitted with twin 300hp engines for some real get up and go, as well as a wide array of water toys for your enjoyment. 

“We are also serious about minimising our impact on the environment, so we have the latest high-tech Hamann wastewater purification systems, we will insist on no single use plastics. Toiletries onboard will be from ‘Grown Alchemist’, an eco-friendly, organic Australian range.”
