"This is imperative so we know their points of difference, their movements and itineraries. My team and I personally inspect over 400 yachts a year at international charter shows worldwide."

The final word belongs to a Washington couple, Donald and Tina, who were "overwhelmed" by their recent charter experience in the Leeward Islands, cruising St Martin and St Barts. "We couldn't believe how much there was to do, yet how tranquil it was. It was like living on an island, with a one-to-one ratio of crew to guests. There was plenty to occupy our time, yet there were no distractions. On board, our whole family could spend quality time together, with enough activities and space on board for each of us to enjoy some quiet time – or noisy time in the case of the kids and the yacht's inflatables!
