The Med Charter Show Circuit 2015

Jeni Tidmarsh has been attending the Genoa show for more than 15 years, and considers it a vital part of her role as adviser to her global retinue of clients. "The show is important for us to immerse ourselves in the look and feel of each yacht – and this year there were close to 60 vessels. We take into account the décor, ambience, styling, cuisine onboard, the yacht's specialties, the skills of the Crew, their ethos, which all contributes to the point of difference of each yacht."

In a year, the Luxury Charter Group Team of Jeni, Sharon and Radek each inspects 400 or so boats, "so charter yacht shows are crucial for us to update our knowledge and refresh our ties with Captains, crews and yacht managers".

In four days in Genoa, the Luxury Charter Group Team inspected all the boats on show, and after hours, the networking continued with a full program of social activities, adding to the complete picture of yachts and their capabilities.

Especially impressive in 2015 were the motor yachts THUMPER, a custom-designed Sunseeker 40M Yacht with an impeccable 'Hamptons-style' interior suited to 10 charter guests in absolute luxury, and PERSEUS^3, the new 60m Perini Navi performance sailing superyacht with one of the tallest carbon fibre masts ever built and exquisitely appointed throughout for the ultimate charter experience.

After Genoa, Jeni and her Team inspected a selection of luxury charter yachts available in Greece at the Mediterranean Charter Yacht Show in Nafplion, followed by the Marmaris Yacht Charter Show, Turkey.

Next on the calendar for this energetic team of charter professionals are the European Yacht Shows in September and US/Caribbean shows in November/ December. US-based Sharon Bahmer will be attending the BVI Charter Show, followed by the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Radek, based in Europe, will attend Cannes and Monaco Yacht Shows, and the "The A-Team" will meet up again in Antigua in early December for the annual Antigua Charter Yacht Show, the largest and most important of the year.
